Declutter and refresh for summer at MCPL Wausau’s school supply swap

Posted

Clearing out your child’s backpack? Consider bringing leftover, gently used school supplies to the library! The Marathon County Public Library’s Wausau Headquarters (300 N. First St., Wausau) is hosting a school supply swap the week of June 1-6. Drop off supplies Monday through Friday during open hours, then come back between 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on June 6 to select some swapped materials.

The library is looking for notebooks, pens, pencils, colors, glue, and more. Supplies can be dropped off upstairs at the second-floor Reference Desk, accessible by elevator or stairs. Participants can drop off and pick up supplies for themselves or their children, and donating is not necessary to participate in the swap on June 6. The library asks that folks be mindful of others during the swap and only take what they need.

This event is free and open to the public with no registration required. For more information, call 715-261-7220.
