Samoset Council to host ribbon cutting
The Boy Scouts of America – Samoset Council will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completed renovations at their headquarters at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7. This event is open to the public and will be held at 3511 Camp Phillips Road.
For more than 100 years, the Boy Scouts of America has been one of the nation’s largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. Today the Samoset Council, Boy Scouts of America, provides a program for young people that builds character and trains our future leaders to be ‘Prepared. For Life.’ and to live the Scout Oath and Scout Law. The Samoset Council has consistently ranked in the top 10 of the 277 Boy Scout councils in the country.
“Last fall, the Samoset Council Service Center underwent a fairly large office expansion. An addition to the building was much needed space for our growing staff.” said Leanna Holzem, Communications and Special Events Executive. “This was a spatial necessity for our Council and it wouldn’t have been possible without the help of long-time supporters of Scouting, the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin.”
The ribbon cutting will be followed by a Business PM networking event. Chamber members may register online for this event for $10, while non-members may attend for $25. Business PM events serve as a gateway for attendees to build professional and personal networks, strengthen existing relationships and promote their organizations.
