Aspirus Dermatology Clinic welcomes Agnieszka Kubica Thompson, MD, a physician specializing in dermatology, to its clinic located at 425 Pine Ridge Blvd in Wausau. She is devoted to providing exceptional care for patients with dermatologic concerns.
Dr. Thompson has advanced fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, which is an advanced and effective procedure to remove skin cancer. Using Mohs surgery, Dr. Thompson is able to identify and precisely remove thin layers of cancer-containing skin while leaving healthy tissue unharmed. She is uniquely trained as a skin cancer surgeon, pathologist, and reconstructive surgeon, thus providing the best cure rates while giving outstanding cosmetic results. Mohs surgery is performed on an outpatient basis at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Thompson has extensive training in cosmetic dermatology and treating the aging skin, including botulinum toxin injection, injectable fillers, and laser surgery.
Dr. Thompson earned her medical degree from the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine in Rochester, Minn. She completed her dermatology residency at Mayo Clinic and her fellowship in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at New York University. Dr. Thompson is a member of the Women’s Dermatologic Society, the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Mohs Surgery.
